Cambridge is where Sonic PI (and indeed the Raspberry Pi) come from, and has a history of live coding research. Pam Burnard, education researcher, is convening the new “Live Coding Music Co-op” (LCMC) there with the first meeting on the 6th October 2014, 5pm-7pm. It will be highly inclusive and collaborative, across generations and disciplines, and the first meeting will include Shelly Knotts, a live coder of note, visiting from Newcastle, and discussion will include an exploration of feminism in live coding.
